WHAT WE DO
A stem cell transplantation replaces stem cells. It is typically used when an individual’s stem cells or bone marrow has been damaged or destroyed by diseases.
In Canada, most stem cell transplants are allogeneic, which involves the transfer of healthy stem cells from a donor to a patient. Stem Key is currently the only organization in Canada that allows for autologous stem cell collection & banking, which means patients can store their stem cells for future usage.
OUR STORY
Stem Key Biotech Inc. (Stem Key) is an advanced stem cells processing centre affiliated with Progenics, which has extensive experience in this industry for the processing and storing of stem cells. Stem Key is the first private clinic in Canada that plans on offering autologous stem cell cryopreservation. In addition, Stem Key plans on building a community of early adopters that pushes a future-driven market to normalize stem cell cryopreservation and transplantation.
Progenics Cord Blood Cryobank (Progenics) is a leader in delivering consistent, high-quality cord blood processing results, and has a long history of over 18 years of experience in the industry. Progenics is accredited by Health Canada and FDA registered, AABB accredited, FACT accredited facilities with experience in processing cord blood for successful transplantation.
